Biography:
Kylo Ren, portrayed by Adam Driver, is a central antagonist in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, first appearing in *Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens* (2015). Born Ben Solo, he is the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa. He trained as a Jedi under his uncle, Luke Skywalker, but was seduced to the dark side by Supreme Leader Snoke.
Consumed by the legacy of his grandfather, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren sought to emulate Vader's power and ruthlessness. He joined the First Order, eventually becoming its Supreme Leader after killing Snoke. Kylo Ren maintained a conflicted internal struggle between the light and dark sides of the Force throughout the trilogy.
In *Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker* (2019), Kylo Ren continues to lead the First Order. Ultimately, he experiences a moral reckoning, renouncing the dark side and reclaiming his identity as Ben Solo. He aids Rey in defeating Emperor Palpatine, sacrificing his own life to save her.
